Animal Control Job

Los Santos has a stray problem, and this job hands it to your players. They clock in as an animal control officer at the Animal Ark in Sandy Shores, track down loose animals in the habitats where they actually live, and bring them in one crate at a time. A coyote out in the desert scrub, a stray cat in the city, a boar rooting around the backcountry: each one is a run with its own zone, its own bait, and a payout at the end.

What players do

• Talk to the NPC at the Animal Ark in Sandy Shores to start a shift.
• Rent a job vehicle by paying a deposit, then return it when the shift is done to get the deposit back. Multiple spawn points keep the depot from clogging.
• Head to the marked zone, drop bait to distract the target, and secure it in a crate.
• Drive the animal back safely and collect a configurable reward.

Animals and zones

Boars, cats, coyotes, dogs in a range of breeds, and hens each spawn in their own habitat, so no two captures play out in the same spot. Tracking blips point players to the animal, and on-screen instructions walk them through each step of the job.

Built to hold up on a live server

• Fail-safe logic: the job cancels if the animal dies, despawns, or the player ditches the vehicle, so nobody farms a broken run.
• Server-side validation: progress is tracked and checked on the server to shut down cheaters.
• Synced for everyone: the job stays consistent for other players nearby.
• Purpose-made props: dedicated models for the bait and the animal crates.
• Full localization: every message and line of dialogue is editable, and payouts are set in the config.

How it works

1. Start the job: interact with the NPC to clock in.
2. Rent a vehicle: pay the deposit and take your job vehicle.
3. Locate the animal: drive to the designated zone and find your target.
4. Distract it: place bait to draw the animal in before you move.
5. Capture and return: crate the animal and transport it back in one piece.
6. Complete the task: return the vehicle, get your deposit back, and collect the reward.
