Persistent physical items: place, transport, and throw anything.
KuzQuality Placeable/Throwable Items
Placeable Items lets your players take any inventory item and set it down as a physical object in the world. Instead of drugs sitting invisible in a pocket, they can be stacked in plain sight in the bed of a pimped-out pickup, and any officer driving past just might notice them.
You define the model per item, so different loot drops as the right prop. Items can still be dropped and given the normal way, but now they also exist in their physical 3D form, ready to be placed and transported around the map.
The script ships with its own placement menu on F4 by default, so you do not have to touch your inventory at all. If you prefer, adding a "Place" option straight into your inventory system is optional.
Persistent placements
Anything placed on the ground is saved and stays exactly where you left it after a server restart.
Store items in any vehicle
You can stash placed items in any vehicle's trunk. A custom algorithm predicts the dimensions of the trunk so placement stays abuse-free no matter what car your player drives. Items stay attached to the vehicle while it moves, and they tumble out when it flips.
Transporting a haul becomes its own gamble. Load large amounts of drugs or weapons into your SUV, get pulled over, and the only question is whether the cops spot anything through the windows.
Throwing
Items can also be thrown, not just set down.
ox_inventory integration
With ox_inventory you can run it on any framework you like, and it unlocks extra behaviour:
- Item metadata is saved when you place an item
- That metadata is kept between restarts
- Works with any framework as long as ox_inventory is present
- Adding a placeable item to ox_inventory is very simple
Outside of ox_inventory you can still wire a "Place" option into your own inventory system.
Features
- ESX, QBCore, QBox and ox_inventory support
