Real Car Radio Script

In-game stations get old fast. You know every loop after a week. This radio lets players pipe their own music through their car instead: paste a YouTube link or a direct file (mp3, OGG, and similar), and it plays for everyone in and around the vehicle. Save tracks to the car, put them on repeat, keep the good ones.

Every vehicle can use one of two radio designs, and you pick in the config which vehicles get which one.

Audio that reacts to its surroundings

The sound behaves like real sound. Distance matters, and open or closed doors change how far the music carries. Drop a simple marker in the world that you can lock to specific jobs or leave open to everyone, a solid extra for mechanic roleplay and hangout spots.

Music options

• Play from YouTube or a direct link to a file (mp3, OGG, etc)
• Players can store tracks inside a specific vehicle
• Set a default music list per vehicle in the config
• Change the current playback time of a track

Configurable parts

• Run it as a usable item or keep it as a command
• Blacklist certain music
• Blacklist certain vehicles from opening the radio
• Disable a whole vehicle category (anyBoat, anyPlane, etc)
• Open with a command or a hotkey
• Restrict the radio to certain seats (driver, passenger, etc)
• Ignore audio effects for specific vehicle models or interior IDs
• Set hearing distance with doors open versus closed
• Custom distance per model (the "pbus2" defaults to 100 meters of hearable audio)
• Discord webhooks for logging
• Lock radio access behind a specific ACE permission
